Real medicine for weight loss — now wherever you are.
Arnold Medical Weight Loss is a conventional medical office that treats one thing: the causes, prevention, and treatment of overweight and obesity. See us in St. Louis, or start MD Supervised Weight Control by telemedicine from home — same physician, same program, no waiting room.
MD Supervised Weight Control, by telemedicine
The same physician-directed program we have taught in our office for more than two decades, delivered over secure video. You are evaluated by a clinician, you get a specific plan, and we send medications and B12 injections directly to you.
- A real medical visit. Vitals you report, all your paperwork reviewed, a focused exam by video, and a plan built for your history — not a questionnaire and an algorithm.
- A visit every six months, not every month. Request refills as you need them — one, two, or three months at a time.
- Paperwork done before you log on. Complete your intake forms on this site and we have them in hand when your visit starts.
Booking a virtual visit
Telemedicine visits are scheduled by phone so we can confirm eligibility and answer your questions before you commit.
Monday – Friday, 12:00 noon – 5:00 pm. Telemedicine and in-office appointments share the same line.
Where we can see you
Telemedicine visits are for patients located anywhere in Missouri at the time of the appointment. If you live in another state, you are still welcome as a patient — your visits take place at our St. Louis office, and you are welcome to travel back for refills and follow-ups.
How often, and how you get your medication
- One visit every six months. That is the only standing requirement — not monthly, and not in person.
- Refills whenever you need them. One, two, or three months at a time, your choice, and you can change it any time.
- We dispense it ourselves. Medication and injections come from this office.
- Every shipment is insured, and the tracking number is emailed to you the moment it goes out.
What to expect, start to finish
Our program is built on scientifically sound principles as found in the professional literature — not fads, trends, or emotion. A new patient visit runs the same way whether you come to the office or join by video.
Reasonably priced
Professional fees, medication, and B12 injections are all reasonably priced. We will go over exactly what your visit involves when you call.
Why an obesity specialty?
Obesity has reached pandemic proportions across much of the developed world, and the problem keeps growing from pre-adolescents on up — all ages. The impact reaches far, and with a heavy hand.
Excellent research is being done and many answers are emerging. A bariatrician makes a study of that literature and works to pass the needed education on to the patients who come looking for help. We do that essentially one on one.
What is really needed is a global educational program big enough to turn people around. Considering all the factors — commercial interests included — the best we can do for now is one at a time. In that way we can at least help the people who are motivated to learn and to make permanent changes.
A conventional medical office
You are seen by a physician, every visit, with administrative support in the office. Obesity is treated here as what it is: a medical condition.
Education you can act on
You will hear no buzzwords and get no gimmicks. You will get specific dietary information and specific instruction about what must be done.
Built for the long run
After roughly ten percent of total body weight comes off, patients see real health and quality-of-life benefits. From there it keeps getting better.
More than 200,000 pounds, and counting
Many of our patients have lost 50 to 100 pounds; some have lost more than 150. Many have reached their goal weight and stayed there on a sensible maintenance program.
Patient forms, done online
Fill out your intake packet on any phone, tablet, or computer. Sign with your finger. We turn it into a PDF and it goes straight to the clinic.
Prefer paper? You can download and print a blank packet from the same page.

The intake packet is standard — basic information, medical history, family history, nutritional evaluation, lifestyle, and consent. Doing it at home means your visit is spent on your plan instead of on paperwork.
- Save your progress and finish later on the same device.
- Sign electronically, or print and sign by hand.
- Everything arrives at the clinic as a single PDF packet.
